i haven't updated in a while, things have been moving and shaking. Officially one more week of AmeriCorps! I can't believe it, things are becoming so sentimental. However, because everything is winding down, life is getting really boring at work. There is just not anything to do. The museum has changed my life in so many countless ways that its hard to imagine not being there everyday. I'm going to go through some major withdrawal.
Next week we are going on a trip to Vermont - an appreciation field trip - one might call it, as a thank you for all the hours we worked this year. "Graduation" is Tuesday, its going to be a very silly and strange affair, I'm sure. Similar to a kindergarten graduation - that is what we are after all 5 year olds day in and day out. Friday is our last day. :(
After that my lovely ladies are shoiwng up and we are taking over this town.
Then, off to NH! I am hoping that the Boys and Girls Club does not expect me to be there during that week....coz i'm so not going to be here.
Oh guess who I ran into this week...really random. The museum put on a Golf Tournament for a fundraiser on Tuesday, and I volunteered to drive golf carts around all afternoon and take pictures. Lots of fun, a little scary...I could have used a helmet. Anyways, I'm driving up the course at one point and i hear, "HANNAH!!!" and I'm like woooah, that man is way to far away to read my name tag. (and since I hadn't really talked to anybody, or paid enough attention to anyone all day, I wasn't expecting anyone to know my name besides the girls I was working with). When his golf course rolls closer, I take a better look and its Woody! How weird??? I freaked out, and we chatted a bit about why we were both there - his company partially sponsored the event, and he was playing on their team). At dinner I had a chance to talk to him more, he's in south kingston with his families company....we also talked about jeff mandells party. Apparently neither of us were able to go, too bad. It looks like nobody was able to make it. Which is really really unfortunate. I should email jeff. hmmmm....
